Studentswill be assigned to groups of four where the teacher will randomly assign the roles of principal, teacher, lunch room monitor and bus driver. The students will than click on their corresponding role and read the sources that are provided. After researching they will than independently decide on four rules that they feel is important to follow in the school, classroom, lunch room or the school bus depending on their role. Than, they must decide what the consequence will be when the rules are broken. One consequence must be assigned to one rule and be appropriately chosen depending on how serious the rule is that was broken. Than once the group has decided on twelve rules total,they will than write them down on poster board with the corresponding consequences. You may have the same consequences for more than one rule as long as it is assigned appropriately. Lastly, the groups will take turns presenting their poster board of rules for their school in front of the class. Each students will individually present their set of rules and consequences to the class within their groups. They can create a fictional name for their school if they wish.
